Boston Metro Maintenance
Boston Metro Area, MAGreater Boston Telecommunications Infrastructure Relocation
As part of an ongoing maintenance program in the Boston metropolitan area, TCI supported pole replacement activities by assisting with the removal and transfer of telecommunications infrastructure associated with existing utility poles scheduled for replacement. The project focused on maintaining system reliability and ensuring communications networks remained properly supported throughout the pole replacement process.
Following the installation of new utility poles, TCI was responsible for transferring telecommunications infrastructure from the existing poles to the new structures. This work included relocating communications lines, attachments, and related equipment within the designated communications space in accordance with project requirements and construction designs. Careful planning and field coordination were essential to ensure all assets were installed safely, accurately, and in their proper locations.
Working in active utility corridors required close coordination among utility providers, field crews, and project stakeholders to facilitate a seamless transition between existing and new infrastructure. Through detailed execution and adherence to industry standards, TCI helped maintain the integrity of the communications network while supporting ongoing infrastructure maintenance and modernization efforts.
