Structured Cabling Infrastructure Deployment

As part of a structured cabling infrastructure deployment, TCI delivered a complete copper and fiber optic cabling solution for a commercial office environment. The scope included the installation of Cat 6 cabling and data outlets, wireless access point connectivity, a wall-mounted telecommunications cabinet, and a 12-strand fiber optic backbone with splicing and termination to establish a high-performance network foundation throughout the facility.

To ensure system performance and long-term reliability, all copper and fiber circuits were fully certified and tested in accordance with project requirements. Comprehensive testing and quality assurance procedures verified that the installed infrastructure met performance standards and was ready to support both current operational needs and future network growth.

A key challenge of the project involved utilizing approximately 1,800 feet of existing underground conduit and multiple splice cases as part of the pathway infrastructure. Successfully integrating new cabling systems within these existing pathways required careful planning, coordination, and installation sequencing to navigate existing conditions while maintaining system integrity and minimizing disruption during construction.

By combining new structured cabling infrastructure with the existing underground pathway network, TCI delivered a scalable, efficient, and dependable communications system. The completed solution provides robust connectivity throughout the facility while supporting the client’s ongoing technology, data, and wireless networking requirements.
