In-Building Wireless Coverage Enhancement in Downtown Boston
One Beacon Street, a prominent 39-story commercial office tower in downtown Boston, required dependable in-building wireless coverage to support tenants, visitors, and day-to-day operations throughout the property.
TCI completed a cellular Distributed Antenna System (DAS) installation for Airwavz to enhance wireless coverage, increase network capacity, and improve overall cellular performance throughout the building. The system incorporated 140 strategically placed antennas designed to provide consistent coverage across common areas, building core spaces, and other high-use locations.
The scope of work included conduit installation, cable routing, antenna mounting, booster integration, and supporting infrastructure necessary to enable seamless system operation. TCI coordinated all phases of installation to ensure the DAS infrastructure was deployed efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
Following installation, comprehensive testing and system validation were performed to verify coverage objectives and network performance. The completed DAS solution provides stronger, more reliable cellular connectivity throughout the facility, delivering an improved wireless experience for building occupants and visitors.
