NEW MONOPOLE SITE BUILD ENHANCES NETWORK COVERAFE AND RELIABILITY

TCI was contracted by Verizon Wireless to complete the construction of a new site build (NSB) on an exising 120-foot monopole in Milford. Our in-house crews delivered comprehensive civil, electrical and RF services.

Civil work included full compound development featuring a 12’ x 20’ reinforced concrete equipment pad protected by a 12’ x 13’ ice canopy. The team performed trenching for new electrical and telco conduits, installed utility services and implemented a complete site grounding system to meet industry standards.

Electrical scope involved installing new power and telco conduit and wiring from the site’s demarcation points to the proposed equipment hubs with both above- and below-ground conduit runs. All system components were supplied and prepared for seamless client integration and activation.

RF upgrades on the existing tower, included a low-profile steel platform antennas, radios and feed lines. TCI’s certified tower crews performed all work using proper rigging procedures and a 70-ton crane to ensure safety and precision.

This project provided Verizon Wireless with a fully integrated, ready-for-service site that enhances network coverage and reliability. By delivering all civil, electrical, and RF components to the highest standards of quality and safety, TCI ensured the site was prepared for seamless activation and long-term performance.
