Architect: Cramer Levine & Company Architects

  • This Design-Build project created a 2,500 square-foot data center within an existing space.

  • The project consisted of rerouting of existing building systems to create space for new data center

  • Architectural components included raised access flooring within the segregated space.

  • New FM200 fire suppression systems, CRAC units, associated ductwork and chillers were installed.

  • The scope also included new UPS units and electrical systems to support architectural and equipment upgrades.

The Forsyth Institute

  • Timberline completed a $1.3 million data center renovation for The Forsyth Institute.

  • The project involved a 500 SF room renovation with equipment removal and upgraded replacement installation at a new location with connections throughout the building.

  • The sensitive project on a tight urban site was completed with minimal interruption in an operating research facility.

Verizon Wireless Data Center - W

Architect/Engineer: Jacobs Engineering

Northeast regional headquarters for this major corporate client, primary components of the project were:

  • Installation of an additional 3000A power service with all associated duct banks, transformers, ATS and MTS, 1500KW generator, fuel tanks, switchboards and ancillary wiring. This installation was implemented over three successive weekends ensuring seamless integration and operation of the facility.

  • Transfer of all cable tray structural support from roof to floor loading involving the installation of steel tube trees, as well as installation of additional cable tray for additional fiber and DC cabling.

  • Replacement of all ductwork and CRAC units in the sensitive DACS and Switch rooms, as well as the addition of a smoke purge and make up air system. Also included was the installation of a new BAS integrating all HVAC components with the building fire suppression systems and temperature control.

  • Additional fire suppression systems to support increased room volume and configuration, as well as additional equipment.

  • Building addition to support new data and fiber infrastructure to the facility.

Verizon Wireless Data Center -B

Architect: Wick Fisher White

Regional switch facility, the primary project components being:

  • Replacement of all ductwork and CRAC units in the sensitive DACS and Switch rooms, as well as the addition of a smoke purge and make up air system. Also included was the installation of a new BAS integrating all HVAC components with the building fire suppression systems and temperature control.

  • Additional structural supporting systems of the cable tray system to meet seismic requirements as well as Verizon standards. Transfer of load from floor to roof structure, as well as additional cable tray.

  • Additional fire suppression systems to support increased room volume and configuration, as well as additional equipment.

  • Architectural upgrades to create additional office space, employee lounge areas and bathrooms.
